How do I get experience before getting a job that requires experience?

Im attending a tech school and Am persueing a certificate in medical billing and coding. i have been researching available jobs for the field and see that every job post requires/requests at minimum one year experience and some require 6 years! How do I obtain experience after getting the certificate, if all the jobs require experience?

Start with entry-level jobs in medical records that are relatively easier to get than other jobs. (That's how I got started in my own medical coding career). Ask local hospitals for volunteering opportunities, maybe approach heads of department, by writing a letter and sending a current CV and say youre really interested in a career in care and would be grateful if they could offer you volunteer postions, or work shadowing.

Just keep looking and apply anyway. You can contact a local hospital and ask if you can come in and observe as a student and you can use that as experience.
