What would you advise someone in his 20's about dating on an affordable level?
What has been your solution? My cousin's young son has been living with his grandmother, my aunt, who lives out on a farm & otherwise would be alone in a remote location. Well, this young lad finally got a steady job, joined the church, set up a bank account, & now, lo & behold, started dating a sweet young lass who's a bank teller. Turns out that dating costs mucho bucks. Dinners out: maybe $20 per person. Art galleries in nearby Tulsa, equally expensive. Now here's the surprise: Even bowling, counting shoe rental, likewise cost him 40 bucks. On a recent date, he invited her out to the farm to watch him burn a big load of trash & brush. She actually accepted, & they sat out there talking & keeping an eye on the fire. So, it's not like she's making expensive demands for fancy dates. What are your suggestions for a thrifty young man who formerly was saving up for a badly needed new truck? He already works odd jobs on the wkends. He may not be perfect, but he does work very hard, & he has his heart in the right spots. Bonus: He also likes to cook, something pleasing to the opposite sex I would say.

Since he likes to cook, maybe he should prepare dinner for her once or twice a week for the first part of the date. Or, they could utilize the romantic scenery of that remote location, and they could have picnics when the weather is nice. If there are horses on the farm, she may love it if he took her horseback riding... More
