What did your grandmothers do when they were our age?

My grand mother on my fathers side. belonged to some ladies auxuillary, it was like one of those rotary club dealies, use to organize luncheons, also did a lot in the church. participated in dinners, dances, I never met the lady but I hear she was on the go alot. big on gardening to, she played the piano None the less would have been considered a home maker. My maternal grandmother, was a widow, She actually worked a couple jobs, the big one was at carmel shoe factory,, or carmo,, or carmell, gonna have to ask my mother about that one. also played the piano interestingly , she had a lot of kids, was a widow, eventually remarried and did become a full time homemaker again, but the kids were mostly raised by then. Im not going to call her a home maker since she was working the most important time. But what about you, what did your grandmothers do? and what do you do ? @quagmire.. stay away from my grandmother glenn !
