How can I become a hotel receptionist?
I'm a graduate and I've done work experience as well as being employed part time. I wanted to work as hotel receptionist - I've traveled a lot and have an idea of what sort of information and needs visitors have, have experience in customer care and know Id be able to pick up the ropes quickly with a little guidance. I have a friendly disposition, I'm enthusiastic and I have grown up in the area so know a lot about it. However all hotel receptionist jobs want a few years experience minimum. How am I supposed to overcome this as they aren't even willing to let me get work experience and now i'm unemployed I cant afford to take a course!

If they won't give to a lesser job to learn, you may benefit by taking some courses in Hospitality. That; if you want to work in a high end hotel. You have a good basis, but there is a lot more to know about this position if you want the high paying concierge jobs.
