What hourly rate should I request as a daycare assistant?

I just had my second interview for a daycare assistant position at a large size gym. It seems like a great fit for me, and my interviewers seems very excited to meet with me. They explained that the job was likely mine, but I have a group interview to complete, to be approved by the general manager. The question of salary did not come up just yet, but this is always a nerve racking question, as I don't want to sell myself short, but don't want to appear greedy either. I'd like to have a confident answer if asked. Anyway, here's a few pieces of information about the job and my qualifications, any help in coming up with an hourly rate/range would be greatly appreciated. I have three years experience as a private nanny I have three years experience solely operating a free child care group as a volunteer at a hospital (2-13 kids at once) I have an associate's degree, but it is not in child development, it is in general studies. I am a junior in college, working on a bachelor's in psychology. I have a few months retail experience. The gym is a moderate-high end franchise in central virginia, offering child care for kids 6weeks- 13 years In retail, I worked for $7.75/hr, but as a private nanny, I worked for $10-15/hour. I have a figure in mind, but would like other opinions based on the info above. All opinions welcome. Thank you very much :)
