Want to Go to Graduate School, any Help?

This is wayyyyy more complicated than applying to undergraduate school. Good news I still have 2 and a half years to graduate and planning on taking the GRE general and subject tests. Might apply for MCAT too. I just dont know where to start! I am working on my school courses, trying to get involved in extracurricular activities and community service and recently I have been applying for research assistant jobs at college. I am an international student so planning to take the TOEFL test again. But should I just keep doing that and just apply when I graduate? Or I am supposed to email colleges now and programs that are of interest to me? If so, what should I email them about? I always seem to go blank when wanting to email or talk to a program representative. I am still in my first year of specialization (third of college) and I seriously dont have a firm grasp on what I want to do as my masters or Ph.D. research. Dont want to sit and do nothing... Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you SO MUCH :)
