Could I do social work with a psychology degree?

Hello! Im looking into being a counselor or social worker, I would like to get my BSW or Psychology degree. The think is the university I really like, doesnt have a BSW program. So if I got my psychology degree there would I be able to easily get into social work type positions? Thank you!

The answer is yes and no. You can get social work jobs with an undergrad in psychology. However, it is becoming more difficult to do this as most agencies now prefer a degree in social work, but will take a related degree. This means you are put at the bottom of the pile unless you have a lot of social work experience... More

I don't see why not, but you have to check the requirements of the school you are applying towards. Every school would be different. I'd take an intro to Sociology though if you can, and definitely take stats (which you probably have to do anyway).
