How can I tell if I have a broadband connection of at least 384k?

I want to apply for an online teaching job but one requirement says "You must have broadband Internet with a minimum of 384k." I only have DSL but how can I find out if I have at least the 384k connection speed? All the online tests I see give upload and download speeds and report them in Mbps. Am I even running the correct test? ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks. -mike

Go to your ISP website, log into your account, and find your information. If you can't do that, just calling, and ask them what you have. Simple as that! Good luck!

Run a connection test using http://www.speedtest.net/ 1 mbps equals 1000kbps I'm pretty sure that the requirement is 384 kilo bits (kbps), which is much less than 1 Mbps If the requirement is 384Kbytes then you will need 384 x 8 = 3.072 Mbps
