How to be a really good barista?
I have a fair bit of experience making coffees at a bakery. I love making coffee and I'd like to become a proper barista. I have been getting job interviews for barista jobs. I want to know how I can improve myself as a barista so I can do well in a job and keep the job. What are some tips for being a really good barista? I know the basics of coffee making but that's it and I've never worked in a busy cafe as a barista so I need some advice! Thank you.

Like the other answerer said, product knowledge is really important. research how to properly use the machines you'll be using, what you should look for in the taste and texture of drinks, proper ways to froth/steam milk, all the true meanings of the terms, and most importantly is customer service. if a customer feels... 2 keys to being a good barista: product knowledge and customer service skills. Study coffee and all types of related products like it is an artform, learn to listen and be cheerful with others, and become good at remembering people's names/coffee preferences. Also work quickly.
