What is the right college major and minors for me?
I am a freshman in college right now and I have no idea what I want to major in. I have a good bit of college credit from this past semester and college credits I received in high school (I graduated from high school this past June, this is technically my first semester of college and I have 30 credit hours) so deciding what path I need to take is coming up pretty soon. Also, I will be able to major and then double minor, so I definitely want to do that. I am interested in quite a few different majors, and they all kind of connect in one way or another, but I would like to hear other people's input on what they think would be a good fit for me. I love traveling and different cultures (more than anything), charity, history, communication (I was involved in speech during high school), writing, politics, and any kind of media (music, movies, etc.) I have considered Electronic Media/Broadcasting, Journalism, Public Relations, Professional Writing, Geography, Global Studies, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marketing, Political Science, Recreational Management. I want the most well rounded combination of all of these things that I can get because I can see myself doing a variety of different things involving all of the majors I listed and I want my options to be open. I guess my dream job would be working for National Geographic, occasionally traveling, writing, that sort of thing. Does anyone have any insight that might help me? Particularly people that work in these areas and majored in these majors? Thanks!

At the same time the degree is a great major for allowing you to specialize your studies in particular areas or to explore what region in... More

Anthropology or Geography or International Studies with a minor in Journalism or English or Communications would fit your interests and career aspirations.
