Will what I did as a minor show up on my adult background check?

Okay so I applied for this job where they do a background check using "Lexisnexis". Now I'v never gotten a ticket, been to court, got arrested or anything like that but there was one thing that happend when I was 16. So when I was 16 I was kinda a stupid lonely kid and I was hanging out with my 11 year old cousin and well I don't know what was going through my mind but when he was lying on the floor with his body faced down I got on top of him and dry humped him for about a minute. Pior to that I was really a loner and for some reason I just wanted to know how humping felt. I know what I did was wrong and I'v never done something wrong like that since. About 2 months after that happend after school I was contacted by the local County to come speak to a County Detective. I went in and he had me sit down and some how the law found out and this detective quested me. I was asked if anything was bothering me and if I was going through any stress. I was also asked if I was questing and figuring out my sexual orientation. At the end it was pretty much put that maybe I should start talking to a social worker to become more happier as the detative stated. So yeah pretty much is was only a "question, do you know what you did wrong, and your not a bad kid but maybe you think about talking to someone" type of meeting and then I was told I could leave. I guess they only wanted me to realize what I had done and to try to help my self. So I wasn't arrest, no charges, nothing just kinda a small law talk thats about it so would this show up on a background check by Lexisnexis or anything? I know my stupid hormones got the best of my but like i said thats the only time I'd ever done something like that. My life is on a good track now. If anyone can answer that would be great!

LexisNexis is a very thorough search engine but it usually focuses on cases and situations with at least some public interest or involvement. It sounds like your situation never made it to the level that would appear in a LN search. I think you're okay.

Your record gets wiped as long as it was done before the age of 18 and wasnt too bad and by that i mean robbery, murder, r**e, Etc. you should be fine. If not go to your local police department with a flash drive and about $50 at most and ask for a background check on yourself. Have your ID or permit and be ready to... More

No. That won't show on a background check. In fact, I would be surprised if there's any record at all. Technically there should be a record, but I would bet that the officer didn't write it down... More
