What kind of health career is right for me?

Ok, I am thinking about studying to be an EMT but I want to make sure I have the right choice, here are some details about me. -I want to work in the medical field -I enjoy helping or 'saving' people -But I don't actually like having to sit down and talk to people (I'm not very social) -I NEED to make a difference -I'm an excellent writer (and strangely enough since I'm not really good at sitting down and getting to know people) a fairly good communicator -I am willing to spend more than 4 years at college/post grad studies (but honestly I'd prefer fewer) -I am terrible at math and chemistry. Seriously, so I obviously should not be part of say, laboratory staff -I am good with high stress situations -I've mentioned this before but I really want to help people but I don't want to be in hospice or anything where I'd have to keep tabs on the same people and form bonds with them. -I'm apparently good at understanding people but terrible with comforting -I am fascinated with how the mind and enjoy studying mental health but I also like being in the thick of things -I am not articularily athletic but I am fine with getting in shape to suit more physically demanding jobs -Money is NOT important to me -It'll need to be interesting and meaningful (no desk jobs!) So what do you guys think? Am I cut out for something in the medical field or should I give up and move onto something else. Edit: Yeah about the getting in shape thing I should've added that I've actually started going to the gym and stuff now so I'm not just waiting around. ^_^; If not an EMT I was thinking a paramedic, I know paramedics are basically higher level EMTs and if that's true would I make enough money to support myself that way?
