How do I become a Biological Scientist?

I love Science, it is just so fascinating, and I wish to be a Biological Scientist wen I grow up. I wish to help find cures for Cancers, Alzheimer, AIDS, HIV, and organ problems. How do I become one though? What do I have to do? Where do I have to go? Also, if I become a Biological Scientist can I also be an Astronomer, Biological Engineer and Spaceship Engineer? Or do I have to be tied down to Biological studies, and nothing else? I have a 4.0 in my school, I know Algebra 1, 2, and 3, I know Geometry, Trigonometry, and I am learning Calculus in the 8th grade, do I need anything else? What are all the requirements to have these jobs?

You begin by selecting a 4 year university that has a good Bio program. I went the Medical Technology route which gave me an in into hospital labs where the action is. You get a great education, a guaranteed job, and lots of experience for grad school, which you will need. Forget the Masters, go for the PhD... More
