Why arent things better in American already?

Our deficit was psomised to be cut in half by 2012. There was supposed to be no lobbyists in office. GITMO was supposed to be closed and the money spent elsewhere. Allowing 5 days of public scrutiny of any bill before it will be signed Unemployment will never go above 8% No more wasted pork money in any bills Create more jobs here at home Healthcare reform everyone can understand With all these plans put into place, why are we still hurting here in America? Our deficit is in half, unemployment never skyrocketed, and we have an easy healcare bill to live by now. So why are we still hurting?

The Democrats have been in power since 2006; isn't the country supposed to be a workers paradise by now. Obama has taken all the appropriate steps to solving our economic and foreign relations issues; he put a lot of effort into blaming Bush. You would think all that finger pointing would be paying off by now.
