How hard is it to put lowering springs on a Corolla?

I have a 2005 Corolla that I would like to lower. I have moderate knowledge and experience on cars. The thing is nor me or any of my other car friends have ever done it before. To me it seems fairly simple and maybe a 2 hour job. I was just wondering if you need any specialized tools? I heard from someone you need something to compress the spring? I know I will need a few jacks and stands and some standard tools which I have. I have plenty of people to help me. I would just rather do it than pay for labor at a shop, which would be twice as much as the springs cost themselves and I'm just a poor teen with a crappy job, so I would prefer to do the job if I have the capabilities. Do you think this a job that could be accomplished easily ?

If it was only a two hour job for an amateur mechanic (i.e., you don't have a shop and you don't do it for a living), then it would be less than half that for a professional. Reality is that there is no way you would swap all 4 springs out in 2 hours, and you do need special spring compressors. You can get them cheap... More

You will need a pair of spring clamps to hold the tension on the springs while you are removing and fitting. Then you have to remove the top of the front struts and the rear shocks.
