How do I get into audiobook recording?

I'm a college student, and I've been toying with the idea of recording an audiobook for money. However, I have no idea how to go about this. I go to the Cleveland Institute of Art, so recording equipment isn't a concern of mine. I don't know what sort of client base there is for audiobook recordings, or how to contact them and become a paid reader. What are some publishing companies I can contact? (I know several companies concerning paper books, but when it comes to audio recordings I'm at a loss as to where to look or for what to look.) I don't even know if I'm asking the right questions! Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Please keep in mind this is not something I'm interested in as a career; only as a side job for extra income. Please help!
