How does one become a flight attendant?

I found this add online and I just want to make sure its not a scam. I really need a job and I do not want to waste my time on a scam. The company supposedly hiring flight attendants with no experience is Major Airline and they're having me call this number: (202) 595-3088.

It is a scam. Try it if you want, but if they ask for money, you know it is a scam.

It's a scam you apply to the airline they will call you, interview, train you, and good luck. Most of the flight attendants that I flew back then (yes I am an airline pilot) complaint about the treatment that they get from passengers and some have to do the dirty work, as some had shifts almost 18 hrs. There are scam busting sites with online lists of the names scammers use, their fake job offes, their email addresses, stock copy/paste emails, paid-for-in-cash cell phone numbers, stolen pictures and fake websites they use. You could start your search and post/ask at such sites... More

Every airline recruits flight attendants directly through their corporate websites. They do not use outside companies to do this -- they don't have to. An average airline will have a few thousand people a month applying directly to them
