What was your self defense or home defense experiences like?

We talk a lot about home defense, self defense, and carrying on this forum. Billygoat just sparked my interest in one of Kids questions saying he got a free AK47 off a bad guy? I've never dealt in a self defense scenario; knock on wood. But what was your experience like? @Kenny I had a similar run through with a cockroach and my trusty steel-toed boot. Story ends with the roach getting it and me having to repair a rather large hole in my wall. @BillyGoat You fooled me. Sarcasm doesn't travel well over the web, especially when I'm not too keen in sensing it.
