Can someone help me with my college employment situation?

Just gathering opinions... I currently work as an RA in the dorms on a staff that I enjoy very much. I'm a very social person so this job is a great fit for me. I got a job offer for a software engineering job (I'm going into the IT field) that would require me to quit my RA job because it requires 20 hours of work which exceeds the 10 hours allowed by my current job. Do you think I should quit my RA job to start relative field experience? If I take this job, I'll have to move off campus and it wouldn't allow me to be as social as I am now. I almost feel like I would be disconnected from campus and I would most likely grab an apartment nearby. Also, this way would save more money My mom suggested being an RA because you're only in college for 4 years and you have the rest of your life to work. Any input? Thanks!
