Japanese man looking for a job in the U.S.?

My boyfriend is Japanese, he is 22 years old and currently looking for a job in Japan. He is going to work in a logistics/consulting or international trade company in Tokyo. After having about 3-5 years of experience in Japan, he hopes to come to America to work and get his MBA and then find a job in the U.S. He is incredibly smart, works very hard, and is at the 3rd best university in Japan. His English is near perfect, though it would take him a few years to achieve fluency, especially in business English as business is conducted quite differently in Japan. Just looking to hear thoughts and opinions on the possibility of him achieving success in the U.S. economy. Do you think it is possible, with an MBA, to achieve success in America? Without would it be vastly more difficult? Also, even if his English would be fluent, is there still the possibility of another man of the same talent/skills/promise getting hired over him because he is a native Japanese? Thank you in advance!
