What's a helicopter pilot's schedule? Is it flexible enough to hold another career?

I'm willing to gain a commerical helicopter license and become a pilot-for-hire for transportation/charter-related jobs. At the same time I have aspirations to be a musician as part of a musical rockband that performs occasional tours. So we're talking about two careers that require a lot of time and effort: Music and Commercial Rotercraft Transportation. Is there a median schedule that a helicopter pilot, specifically a charter helicopter pilot, has to abide by, or does it depend on the type of pilot job I'm taking?

Sorry, can't fly now I have a... More
