If you're starting from bare bones, what is the best way to prepare for an executive MBA program?

Assume the person you're advising has only a bachelor's degree in an unrelated subject.

1. Take pre-reqs required by the MBA program 2. Decide what career/jobs one is seeking with the MBA 3. Try and find some work related experience if no work experience at all. This helps also in being able to get professional references in the future.

I don't know of any good MBA programs that would want to take someone without a few years experience in the real world. An MBA student needs to have some business experience under their belt to be able to realistically analyze case studies. You don't want to be in an MBA program having only studied business theory...
