What would happen If someone never payed their credit card bill and lived in the wild?

Simply, what were to happen if someone decided to get a credit card and spend several thousand pounds, but with that money, they bought supplies to live off the grid for the rest of their life? No home, no job, no name no nothing..... Would a credit card company who they owe debt to be able to do anything? The amount they owe would increase, their credit score ruined, debt collectors contacting a address they no longer live at, and I can't really imagine a credit card company paying for a nationwide manhunt... So given if someone were to take such action Would a credit card company be able to succeed in finding that person or get their money back? Many thanks to all who read :)

Be prepared to live off the grid for the remainder of your natural life, never to set foot in a city ever again.
