How dangerous is it to work as a gas station clerk?

So I'm currently looking to have two least one full-time and one-part time. I received a voicemail late yesterday afternoon asking me to come in for an interview for a gas-station clerk job. I originally had written on the application that I prefer graveyard shift (because that would make having two jobs the easiest.), and I stand by that. I know they don't pay enough to make it a full-time, priority position. But here's the thing. I'm a girl. A small girl at that. I was raped at gunpoint a few years ago, and I know gas station clerk jobs can be dangerous. I was literally exhausted, but was filled with so much anxiety last night at the thought of being attacked again, I couldn't fall asleep until 6 AM this morning. My question is--in your opinion, am I being totally ridiculous? I guess I'm looking more for reassurance that I'll be fine more than anything else, lol.

Day work or evening are generally fine. Graveyard is really dangerous. If you are going to be on duty by yourself, forget it. It is just not worth it.

It's location just makes it an easy target being right near one of the rougher parts of town but on a busy enough road to attract enough... More
