What happens if someone doesn't pay you for a job?
Usually skilled trade people like painters and plumbers charge you after they do the job. I would never do this but I was just wondering what happens if the person does not pay you? If you they were brought to court it could make the person who did the job lose money, so how would it work out?

If you are a skilled trades person, like a painter or plumber, you file a mechanics lien on the person's property. They won't be able to sell or refinance without paying you first. If it is a JOB, you report your employer to the US Department of Labor http://www.dol.gov

Basically they will file a charge and take you to a thing called civil court, which handles small cases between people and not large companies.
