What to do if a professor loses your final?

So i think my professor lost my final. He says he doesn't have it and acts as if I wasn't there for it. He won't talk to me anymore. I went to his boss and he ended up giving me the run around as well. I went to the assistant Vice President or some crap and now it feels like she's giving me the run around. I'm going to owe money if he really lost my final and I fail because of it. So what do you do in this situation? Wow thank you for the great information. I kind of figured but wasn't sure that he and the school could be in big trouble for something like this bit I wasn't sure. I'm trying to prove to them that I'm not letting this go. I've made it clear to everyone that I've talked to that if they don't answer my question which is "where is my final" that I'm going to go over their head to the next person and so far I've done that everytime. It worries me because just like you said the school could be liable as well so I'm certain they may want to try and ignore this and hope it goes away or try to cover it up. I'm finding it hard to find anyone who cares though. Where I stand right now is the assistant Vice President is supposedly having a meeting with my professor and his boss (both of which I've tried working with but blew me off). I should know the outcome of that after this week and I'm fully expecting bad news of some kind and Thanks again and I'm gonna take your advice on this and find someone not in the teaching field to help me. I'm 30 by the way so I won't be getting my parents involved lol.
