British person wants to live and work in Mexico, help?

I've decided I need a change, I need to get as far away from this country as possible. I would like to move to mexico because of the beautiful history, people and culture. I'm aware of the risk factors involved also and think that it's worth it. I was wondering where to start really, like how do I qualify to work there, I know that some countries have a points system but most of them are places like america etc... How do I become a holiday rep or tour guide because I think they would be the safest options instead of just getting a normal job there. Anyone get anything they can share about this would be really helpful, even bad experiences.

"Ghost of parties" gave you the best answer. Mexico is not all dangerous as the world wide media claim everyday, they exagerate too much, it`s real that some rural parts of Mexico are dangerous but mostly for people involved into violence. Mexico is a nation that always receive really well to foreigners.
