Why is my subwoofer not hitting like it should?
I have dual rockford fosgate p2d4's in the custom rockford ported box, ran by an RE Audio dts 1000.1 watt monoblock class d amp. The subs are both dual voice coil and are rated at a peak of 1600 watts total as well as 800 total rms. The amp has a peak of 1600 watts and runs at 800 rms at 1 ohm. The website I bought the subs from said the subs were internally wired at a 1 ohm impedance. The subs and amp should match great right? My interior lights dim a lot when I play it and it the subs start to cut out. Could it be my battery? Please help me out I'm kind of a noob at this car audio stuff. Any suggestion helps. The car I have it in is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix gt.
