Which distortion pedal is better for a solid state amp?

I'm choosing from these three pedals: Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal, Boss DS-2 Turbo Distorion Pedal and DigiTech Hot Head Distortion Pedal. Please help me know which pedal would sound better on a solid state amp like my Stagg 40 GA R amp, and with my guitar Squier Stratocaster Standard Series. I'm after the sound of Nirvana, that grungy kind of distortion, and I know that the Boss pedal is recommendable for it but I want to know which of these pedals are better for a solid state amp. Because some people say that solid state amps doesn't handle pedals very well and only tube amps can handle it well, but also some reviews say that some distortion pedals work good on solid state amps.
