Will my friend still be able to be a pharmacist with an expunged felony?

My best friend was charged with felony retail theft but since he was 17 at the time the judge ordered expungement. Now he's 20 and in college for pharmacy and I was wondering if this would effect his pharmacy license and if when he tries to get a pharmacist job after college will they see his record during the background check?

Background checks aren't science. A check with one company might exclude you, and the same check with another my breeze through. Your friend might be safe, and they might be screwed. They should keep plugging along. Even if they're excluded from one job opportunity they're likely to be ok on another offer.

The felony was expunged, thus there isn't a record of it in the courts. There may be a digital copy out there somewhere, but since the record was expunged, the "best friend" who I will call defendant can claim that the event never occurred... More

colleges, police departments and some goverment agencies have access to all criminal records even as a minor. Your friend is wasting their time and money. You can't unsrammble eggs, once it's done,it's done.
