Why Jews from Hungary,Czechoslovak,Ukraine,Belarus didn't run away to East during World War 2?

Hello Hitler started war with attacking to Poland.And jews knew that he is against them and they are waiting for death.Why they didnt run away to eastern countries as refugees?For example,before occupying Hungary,Belarus,Ukraine they could go to eastern part of Russia or Iran.

In order to leave the country, you needed an exit visa; and they weren't handing them out to Jews. ... Not to mention that those countries mentioned were not exactly "welcoming" to new Jewish immigrants.

Not only the jews didn't get visas and couldn't go, no one actually believed that the Nazis will do what they did. Even through the holocaust, when survivors from deaths camps went to people in cities and told them that there is a death camp, where jews are being gassed to death, then burned, people couldn't believe it... More

The lucky ones did, but since the persecution had started before the war, there were already restrictions on movement, so they had to get false papers and only the better off could afford to leave... More
