Is it hard to get a job in software development for a college grad?

I'm starting college soon and I've always been into computer technology. According to the BLS software development jobs are expected to grow by 30% in this decade. But i know half of recent college grads don't have a job in their major and many are living back at home. I'm worried this will happen to me so how difficult will it be to get a job in Software development after college?
