I have a couple questions all pertaining to science, particularly physics?

I am a highschool senior now and the thing i love most is science. I spend much of my time watching youtube and learning the physics of everything and i would love to have a career in this field but theres a few questions I have about it. You don't neccessarily have to be a "genius" to be a physicist right? granted i'm smarter than the average student (not trying to brag) but i'm certainly not the next albert einstein. I was thinking its mostly about the work i put into it, just wondering if you would agree. Next question, i know physics is a very broad spectrum of science and probably have many career options. What would some of these career choices be? I'm really interested in energy production, specifically photovoltaics, is this a field that will be growing?
