I have about 10 years of experience and have BS degree. Only entry level software engineer in Google?

I have about 10 years of experience and have BS degree. Currently a Lead Software Engineer. A Google recruiter ontacted me for a job opening, but the position title Software Engineer. I think this is the lowest level in Software Engineering. When I asked the recruiter he said, the title doesn't matter in Google. How much is this true? For my experience, current role, skills and education, I expect at least Senior Software Engineer. But he says it doesn't matter n Google. Is this realy true? I don't want to attend a interview for low level position and then realize I have been wrongly hired for lower level position. please do not answer if you have no idea or not sure.
