Is this normal for an interviewer to do this?

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

It could be that she was trying to see how you would handle her outbursts. So many times while working you will have customers who will tell you way too much info! But you have to be nice, and listen to them, for they are the customers. She may have been testing to see whether you would remain silent or not. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. Good Luck!

No, that is honestly not normal, but honestly nothing bad about it.

You know how sometimes you may tell your life story on the internet to a bunch of strangers? Know how if you're reading that on the sidelines, you wonder WHY THE HELL they would EVER tell complete STRANGERS that?

The answer is that people want to vent, but not always to people they know directly because those people could use it against them. See what I'm saying? You don't know her, her friends, etc, so you really couldn't tell anyone her troubles she doesn't want knowing them. So you are actually a more personal confindent than a friend or relitive would be, because you've got no one to tell. And you didn't give a name or a componey name or anything on here, so it can't hurt anyone.

Basically, she was probably having a hard time, couldnt' take it anymore, and decided that she just needed to voice her problems to someone, no matter who it would be.

It is not normal and not abnormal either. She was just being herself

After an interview job, how many days the interviewer need to inform me my succecfull in the position?

I have two interviews tomorrow, both from places that I feel might offer me the job right on the spot, but I really want the 2nd interview job more. If the 1st interview offers me the job right on the spot, how do I say that I want to think about it first without sounding like I don't want the job (in case the 2nd one doesn't turn out)? Thanks

One of the questions on every application is if i've ever been convicted with a felony or misdemeanor. I always check 'no'. But i have a stupid misdemeanor on my record that i've attempted to expunge many times. Now, after the successful interview, job offer, and starting employment, they tell me that they found this on my record, what should my frustrated response be 1. What? I thought that was expunged! or 2. I have no idea what that is, must be some sort of mistake??
