	Where are some good places to search for jobs and tips on getting a good job? I graduated from college a little over a year ago and since have been working at a crap job and really need to find something. I've had a few interviews and applied at a few places, but no luck! any advice would be appreciated! I plan on making my new hobby and past time searching for a job! Asked By: Jayde - 8/1/2010

	How long should I wait before applying for a new job in IT? I currently do Help Desk support, we provide support for several companies as contracted support staff. Mostly password resets, VPN troubleshooting, and typical untrained employee issues...etc. I have 2 associates in IT sys administration and networking, as well as 2 certifications, but there's little room for advancement. There's only 3-4 level 2 analysts and about a handful of actual technicians(who actually setup, repair, and configure systems). I'm relatively new and there's plenty of others who have been there longer. It's not a small company either but I know some pretty smart guys on the team and they're still level 1 help desk employees after 5-6 years. Anyways, I know this is kind of a typical entry-level position and I'm fine with that but I think the pay could be a bit better, what's the general next step in an IT career path? How long should I stay there in order to establish a solid career related work history? 2 years? 4 years? I'm more of a hands on guy, I don't mind dealing with customers but my passion is getting something to work, not helping someone reset their expired password.
