Nursery Nurse interview?

I had an interview a few months ago for a nursery assistant position and I didn't get the job for it. They seem interested in me but I don't know if I messed it up and now that I have an interview for a nursery nurse position I don't want to mess it up again. There were a few things i picked up on in the last interview and I thought if this what why they didn't hire me. Firstly, I was late for the interview about ten minutes. After the interview they asked me where I had heard about the vacancy and they told me they didn't have enough hours at that particular nursery but they did in other nurseries so I could be moved to different locations. Also, when they put me in the room with the other children they told me that I'd be in there for 20 minutes but they left me there for much longer. The deputy manager came into the room a few times but completely ignored me. After over an hour I got up and asked if I could leave. Was this right? Should I have stayed until she said something to me? I was there helping thoughout the lunch period and I felt like they weren't even aware that I was there. I felt like the whole intervew was unorganised. I dont want a repeat of last tme so I was just wondering if I did anything wrong?

When you were left in the nursery, did you actually do anything? Please don't tell me that you just sat there. You should have interacted with the children. You got up? What... More
