What is the best way to have a resume look professional and how to apply to jobs listed online?

I got laid off from my last job and have a resume in Word but this is the trial version of Word so I can't email it. Anyways, I will be relocating to another state and am submitting resumes for job's i'd like. Any Advice?

My best tip is to visit a community college and ask them if they have a "career center" to help you create a resume and find a job. Most of them have one that is open to the public.
