How are professionals handling menial jobs on their resume?
I am a construction manager by trade, but was hit hard by the economy. For 2 years, I have taken whatever job pays the bills. If anyone else has been in this same position, h*********u addressing these jobs on your resume? Either I have 2 years of terrible positions that are not applicable, or I have a 2 year gap. Help!

What a lot of people do for gaps is create a functional resume. A functional resume doesn't have specific dates of employment. Nothing is worse than huge gaps. Especially 2 year gaps. I'd write down every job you've had. At least that way your potential employer will see that you've been working. I'm sure you can find an opportunity to tell the person the reasons for having those jobs. In this economy, I'd think they'd understand.
