I hold a B.A. in the liberal arts and have no job experience in finance. I do however, spend a lot of time trading and researching with my equities and forex accounts. What entry-level finance jobs are out there for college graduates with a background outside of finance and accounting?

I've been looking for a finance/accounting job for the last year and without luck. I am graduating in a few months from a renown B school with 3.9. I am also done with my CPA requirements and I am sitting for CFA level 1 in a few weeks. What do I do wrong that I can't get a job? I am using mostly Craigslist as a job searching avenue - the few calls i got back were from there. What should I do?

I live in Saginaw, Michigan (a place where jobs are scarce). I don't have debts, I would like to borrow $40k from the FAFSA to pay for my bachelor in accounting/finance at the Columbia College of Missouri online. The College is accredited (not like AIU or UOP) and the Tuition is low.

I recently graduated from 4-year college with BA in Accounting. I have internship experience in internal auditing, some customer service and administrative experience. However, I cannot get the job because of lack of experience in Accounting. So, I was wondering if addiotnal licenses related to accounting or finance would help me get accounting or finance related jobs. What are those licenses? How can I obtain them and how much time will it take?

Not the subject, the degree. And not just those in particular, but it seems there aren't jobs that directly REQUIRE these degrees. Like engineering often requires engineering degrees, as does accounting and some finance jobs. I'm trying to figure out what degree can get you a job in pretty much any field. Except for in certain fields, it seems that you can get any job with any degree. What do you think? How do you identifywhichh majors are useless?

I am currently studying a Marketing major at university. I've been reading and hearing lately that skills in accounting and finance are crucial for senior positions in marketing, for things such as customer profitability. How important are such skills for a job in marketing, and is it possible to get by with minimal/basic knowledge of finance etc? Willing to hear from people currently in the marketing profession please.

Ok, so I was wondering and heard that an accounting major can get every job that a finance major could but it doesnt work the other way around. So I was thinking why doesnt every finance major just switch to accounting to have better job outlooks. I mean why would a finance major decide to major in finance when they could just major in accounting and get a finance job? Are there some jobs out there that only a finance major could do and not an accounting major? replies would be greatly appreciated.
