Associate Account Executive Job Questions & Answers

I have always been told that I can be extremely persuasive and should be in sales. I have a great resume with excellent refferences but no sales experience to speak of. I also have an Associates Degree but in no particular field, it is general studies. What steps must I take to obtain an outside sales position or an Account Executive position?

I am currently in the Marine Corps and I get out in August of 2014. This fall I will be working on an Associates in accounting so that I can get a job when I get out of the military and continue going to school. What kind of job could I expect to attain and what else should I know going back into the civilian workforce?

I am currently enrolled in community college. I am wondering your opinion of which is the best two year degree to get? I am told that my community college offers three types of associate degrees, the associate of liberal arts, the associate of business, and the associate of science. I am looking for something that will best prepare be for the real world, as well as to further my education later on when I want to get my bachelors degree. Which, in your opinion is most valuable? What kinds of jobs would I be eligible for with just my associates in one of these catagories? THANK YOU!

I'm a 24 yr old student and soon I will graduate with an Associates in Business Administation. I know this is not a top notch degree and I'm not expecting a great job, but what kind of positions can I expect? Administrative Assistant? Secretary? I'm looking to make enough money to get married (FINALLY!). My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and I'm ready to get married and move in together.

I graduated a year ago with a degree in biology (b.s.). I have been trying to find a job ever since. I live in cleveland, oh and the problem I keep running into is that every job is a sales job. I AM NOT A SALESPERSON!!! I am very smart and a job that does not utilize this will be short lived. I need something that allows me to make decisions and does not involve selling. Going back to school is not an option as I need money and WILL NOT move home to live with my parents. So unless it is something that allows me to go to school part time while working full time, it is not an option. I am very open minded, all I really need is decent pay, bennefits, and the ability to think for myself so I dont get bored and quit. I am currently working part time in retail, with little room for advancement as the only real position to move into is store management which is a very competitive sales position. My sales numbers are not good at all. I also work part time teaching at risk 6th graders, but i am not a licensed teacher. I do enjoy the job, but the long hours of a teacher and low pay are most likely not for me. biology is just a degree, a job with biology is not important or really even anything worth considering. Sales jobs are the only real jobs I find available.

For fun, I looked up Personal assistant at hotjobs.com, and most of them said that you need at least a year or three of experience. Well what sort of experience qualifies for that? Do you have to have experience to be a personal assistant if you are quick at learning and got an Associates Degree in Business?

I'm at a crossroads in my career. I'm burnt out of engineering and want out. I realized that it just isn't me. I have been interested in the financial services for a long, long time but don't know what options I have to break into the industry. After talking to friends, family and those in the know, I have been inundated with all the possible pittfalls. Yet, I am not discouraged. So can anyone please offer options or ideas other than going back to school for a MBA in Finance? Thanks in advance.

Why do we tax corporations? They just mark up the prices to pay it instead of paying it themselves so by taxing corporations we're actually just taxing the consumers.
