How much should I be making as a full-charge bookkeeper?

I have a job interview for a large manufacturing company for a full-charge bookkeeper. The job is a salaried position and I am curious to know what I should be paid. I don't want to accept a low paying salary, but I don't want to price myself out of a job. I am in Alabama, not a big city, but not small either. I have been making $10.00 an hour for the last 4 1/2 years (2 different jobs). I really would like more for this type of job. I wasn't happy with my pay at the other two. What's your opinion? It seems that employers will offer a lower amount than what they are willing to pay and I really don't know how to counter that, that's why I would like to have a rate in mind when I go to the interview. THANKS! I have a two-year degree, 7 years bookkeeping experience and I am quickbooks certified. Everything is on computer.

You should be making at least $12-$15.00 a hourconsidering working for last 4 years. Do you do bookkeeping manually or computerized. Do you also do spread sheets. I would strt out with the above amounts and then try to negotiate for a higher amount.
