I had applied for another position in a different department at my company. I passed the phone interview and was told I was the top canidate for the job. After the internal audit my current supervisor told the new department that they would require a 12 week transition period and since the training class for the new position started in 4 weeks (a timeframe that seems much more reasonable) I was eliminated for the position. Is this something that they can do? What is my recourse? The training for my current position is only 8 weeks and they do not need my spot filled before I was to leave.
What exactly an internal auditor do different from an external auditor?

However, I cannot get the job because of lack of experience in Accounting. How can I obtain them and how much time will it take?

Should I drop the idea of doing an accountancy qualification or go for it?
