 | I have just received my bachelors degree and have so far only had small side jobs. When I'm looking online now, I don't even know where to start. I know that I would most likely be starting off low, but I am looking for an industry that would be cool to work in with increasing opportunities in the years to come. Does anyone have any advice for that?

 | I am currently a college student and i am a few hours away from having an associates degree in accounting. I plan on staying another two years in order to obtain my bachelors degree. So my question is, directly out of college with a bachelors degree in accounting, what type of jobs would i qualify for, outside of just being an accountant.

 | I'm planning to attend a college that offers Air Force ROTC and graduate as a second lieutenant. However, I'd like to know what kind of jobs would be available to me once I do graduate. Could I be a doctor? If so, would I have to go to med school at some point? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 | I have to write this three page report on the Auditor General role affecting the accounting profession for grade 12 accounting. I know what the Auditor General role is, but I don't know how it affects the accounting profession, and I'm not sure what to research. Does anyone know how it affects the accounting profession, or what kind of stuff I should be researching?

 | I am not trying to be lazy but after driving for 200 hours, I find myself a dangerous driver. I can usually focus on one situation, but in driving two to three happen at the same time. Also the more I talk to people, I tend to forget more things. I do have a journal but I need to find a lifetime job where I interact less with people but something that has prestige. I am a cashier for five years and my verdict is that I really perform better when I am alone.

 | I really quit because of no support from Upper Management. I was their Quality Manager, they wanted to remain ISO certified, however, they didnt want to abide by what was written in the company Quality Manual so I basically had to kiss the Auditors ass every time he visited.

 | I'm pursuing an accounting degree but I hate it and want to do something else when I graduate. (It's too late for me to switch majors) It just seems like accounting majors have a set track (ie they get get an accounting degree, get their cpa, work in public accounting) but I want to do something completely different. Is this normal?

 | I just finished my first year in the audit practice at a Big Four firm. This sounds nerdy, but I absolutely love it! Despite the long hours and the horror stories that everyone had told me, I have been pleasantly surprised and genuinely enjoy my clients, the fast-pace environment, the different industries, working in teams, and the technical accounting issues. There are definitely some less exciting parts of the job, but I feel that the benefits significantly outweigh those things. I don't know if I want to go the partner route, but I am really looking forward to being an audit senior in a couple of years. However, I have found that it is tough to differentiate yourself at a Big Four firm because almost everyone here is highly motivated and an overachiever. That said, I was curious if anyone with experience out there had any advice for someone who is relatively new to the public accounting industry. What can a second-year auditor do to stand out?
