I wish to pursue a career in real estate and was wondering what are the various departments in a real estate company/agency. I ask, so that I can plan my future education accordingly that would support my career. I am considering anything from being an agent to handling public affairs (if there is any such job profile in the real estate market).

Which career choice is the most profitable? Which career can you become/start your own business from. I read that you have to be certified to become a bookkeeper, but how about the others? Can anyone give me as much advice about this as possible. I do not want to waste time at pursuing the wrong career. I am getting confused while researching these careers online. Thanks sooo much!

I wonder if someone can tell me whether they can get a job, or an employer will employ someone who has taught themselves SAGE book keeping skills? I really want a career change but all of the courses are just so expensive. I know that I can apply myself to teach myself but is it worth it if employers are just going to be looking for proof of a qualification? Any advice from employers and employees would be really great thanks.

Hello, I am trying to apply for a bookkeeper position I found on website, and on the job posting it says that they will not consider an applicant with less than 2 years of experience. I haven't got hired as a bookkeeper but I have been an accounting clerk for more than 2 years. Will they consider my application? thanks The fact that I don't have 2 years of experience as "bookkeeper" bothers me.

Plz chk my covering letter n comment plz, thxx In response to your advertisement for a Accountant/Bookkeeper that you recently place in the Jobscentreplus. I am enclosing my resume. I believe that my skills and abilities fully meet your requirements. Specifically, you asked for someone with computer based book keeping and accounting functions, including credit control, tax and company returns, payroll and deal with internal and external audits experience. I have 4 years experience. In brief, I was working in A.A & Co (Accountants) and got married permanently moved to London. Previously, I worked as an accountant in BB Ltd, C&C Packers and D&D Trading. My duties included Accounts Payable, Purchase, Sale Ledger Clerk, Credit Control and Payroll. In addition, I was responsible for client records and handling the office accounts. I am fully conversant in the use of SAGE accounting, SAGE Payroll and Microsoft Office including Word, and Excel. Please find attached my brief resume, which I look forward to expanding at interview.
