Sr. Auditor Job Questions & Answers

Yep, I can't really quite explain it other than it's a coveted job position that auditors and lawyers (anybody else I'm missing?) can someday get promoted to. I mean, I don't really know what a managing partner does in a firm other than it being firm specific. So can firms have more than one managing partner?

What do IRS agents do, on a day to day basis? What sort of money do they make, and where would they work? I know they do tax returns for individuals and businesses, but does anyone know specifics that could help me out?

My bf is an auditor- studied internal auditing but was offered a job in external auditing, he has been in this company for a year. His boss is on his case because clients don't give him the necesary info for him to actually get his job done. Another thing is, if he stays with this company he will have to study external auditing (which will take another +-4yrs) if he wants to get a better salary and go up the ladder. He is not enjoying work anymore and is stressed and isn't keen on studying again for 4years. He is also unsure if auditing is what he wants to do for the rest of his career life, but he doesn't know what else he would enjoy doing, thought of psychology- but thats also a lot of years of study. He also doesnt have enough finance to study much further. He is wondering if he should either: 1- study the external auditing and stay with this company. or 2- find another job in internal auditing? And what can he do to find what else he is interested in?

I'm still in high school (senior) and I definitely want to become an accountant. I plan to attend a 4-year university that offers admission into their business school after or during the course of the 4-years. They offer a 1 year program (in addition to the traditional 4) in accounting to get an MBA. I was wondering which job title, right out of college, I could get. I've been looking through careerbuilder.com and I found a lot of accounting jobs but mostly Sr. Accountant or something analyst. Which is the first job title I could get with only a BBA then MBA. Then with a CPA license?

I advised him to become a cost and management accountant. But I realized that despite having so many accountants and auditors, the financial meltdown occurred and the accountants and auditors failed miserably to foresee it and report in time. When I was a regional accountant at Jeddah, I had refused to counter sign a cheque of SR 50,000 despite insistence of General Manager risking my job. Why auditors and accountants of today fail to raise their voice? In the circumstances, what profession I should suggest to my son ? Muhammad Javed Iqbal He was interested in it and had passed all but the last semester. Moon, Perhaps you did not see additional details. He likes to be what he is. And he has already passed all but the last semester. If your parents were not kind to you, it does not mean every father will be a dictator.
