I was wondering if there were any office administration jobs out there in restaurants. I graduated from a Culinary Arts program at my local community college, but no one wants to hire me right now so I decided to go back to school and get my office administration AS degree. Is there such thing as office jobs in a restaurant?

This is a high level administration job. Applicants were asked to list five references. The rumor is he is going to submit 200! I am planning to stick to my five, as this is what was requested. I even hesitated in a sixth reference I really wanted to use so as to not break protocol. Do you think this will hurt or help him? I am curious to find what people think about this action. Some have told me to do the same but my gut is that it is a mistake.

If I can't be a pilot, I'd like some desk job because I'm majoring in accounting. Like a job were I do paperwork and answer telephone calls all day. Are there any administration jobs for a marine officer? And yes I know that's IF I make it as a marine officer. @cary: officer candidate school haha @In memory of jd: haha sorry you can't discourage me. My grades are excellent and I'm doing the marine reserves first which means bootcamp which means ill be in top shape. Sorry if you could never make it as an officer. @Tunisa: haha I looked at all your other answers and clearly your nuts. Why live paranoid and in fear? Not completely sure if you belong in America haha. @maj kev: I don't fully understand what you mean. If you mean like doing a combination of fighting with troops and administration ya that's fine by me @micahel: No I'm not leaving you a "snarky reply" because you were not trying to upset me. I make these questions in like thirty seconds and I make them on my smartphone. I am not paying attention to my grammar because it is unimportant on yahoo answers. I'm sure you can understand what I'm saying being a communications officer. Also I have an A in language arts, so I'm pretty sure I don't need any work on it. Now when grammar counts, I will write appropriately. Once again not a "snarky reply." @maj kev: No I understand. You just weren't being that clear the first time by saying "I hope." I couldn't tell if you meant you hope officers go back and forth or if they DO go back and forth. Thanks though. @michael: It is not easy, not "Is it not easy."

And what kind of work experience will be helpful? I am thinking of getting a office administration job first to get some experience, is that a good idea? I am graduating from university soon but my degree does not relate to banking or business.

Or will it be an idealistic, easy job? Thanks for your answers!

I have an MPA and I want to get my PHD/EDD. I was wondering if it is best to get a PHD in Student Affairs/College Personnel Service or Higher Education Administration to gain access to upper level administration jobs in student affairs? I am more passionate about student affairs than any other area of higher education. Yet I am still wondering if Higher Education Administration will make me more marketable? Or is the fact that I have an MPA enough? Thank you in advance for any info you can offer!
