I want to work from my home doing clerical work. I want to be hired by a legitimate company and I do not want to be scammed into paying for this. (I already have spent over $200.00) I am hard working and organized and will be an assest to a company yet all I can find are scams and sites that want to sell me something. If you are selling something please do not respond!

I'd like to be a secretary and do clerical work. I am 20 years old, and have average to above average typing skills. I live in a small town and am not sure what kind of businesses have/need a secretary? I don't mind answering phones or filing or any of that.I suppose the real question is, where should i search, what other qualifications should I have and what should I expect? Thanks!

What would happen if the economic infrastructure of the US broke down, rendering traditional white colar jobs useless? If people can't afford to SPEND SPEND SPEND, then doesn't that mean people in sales/retail/clerical would have trouble keeping their jobs? So, what kinds of practical jobs do you think would be in high demand? Could a bicylce mechanic or plumber have the edge over a college grad who is merely a proficient typist?

Before , i went to other temp agencies. I wasn't that messed up from carpa l tunnel, so i always asked for office jobs: clerical, data entry, office assistant.. And i was always tested for computer programs such as Microsoft office, and typing speed. Now that i'm going knowing that i don't want to ruin my hands more than they are, what kind of jobs should i ask for and should i even tell them that i don't want any typing tests? My skills are mostly clerical...so i don't know what other things i could do.

I am currently going to college to get a degree in Medical Transcription. I have never worked in a doctors office, but think that would be a good experience for me to have before jumping right in and applying for MT jobs. What exactly do I need to know, be skilled at, before applying for a clerical/receptionist position? I have worked retail in the past. I am a good typist, I am familiar with Microsoft Word, and have good computer skills. Thanks for any info you can share!
