I am a graduate, specialised in charity jobs, I am looking for a job in this area but I still don't get any positive answer. During the meanwhile, I don't want to stay out of work because obviously I have my rent and bills to pay. Do you think that accepting a full- time clerk job will jeopardize my chances to build my career? Indeed, I will not be available for any further interviews. What should I do?

So I'm currently looking to have two jobs...at least one full-time and one-part time. I received a voicemail late yesterday afternoon asking me to come in for an interview for a gas-station clerk job. I originally had written on the application that I prefer graveyard shift (because that would make having two jobs the easiest.), and I stand by that. I know they don't pay enough to make it a full-time, priority position. But here's the thing. I'm a girl. A small girl at that. I was raped at gunpoint a few years ago, and I know gas station clerk jobs can be dangerous. I was literally exhausted, but was filled with so much anxiety last night at the thought of being attacked again, I couldn't fall asleep until 6 AM this morning. My question is--in your opinion, am I being totally ridiculous? I guess I'm looking more for reassurance that I'll be fine more than anything else, lol.

Also what is it? How does it work? Is it an old machine? A data entry clerk job said this was something I would be operating. I have never even heard of it. I've looked it up on the internet and I can find nothing other than other people asking what one looks like.
