Office Job Questions & Answers

I want to get an office job but every time I apply the man is being racist. Black people can't get office jobs. I rarely get called for an interview and I have a good education and resume. I want to work in the office and have a nicer life so I can support my family. Why won't the white man hire me? When will the government stand up and tell the recruiters to stop being racist?

I'm 19 and I'd like an office job, but not just a deadend office job, but more of an accomplished office job. I'm in college, I know of no office jobs, but I know that is the type of job I want as a child I would always take checks and play paper work because it's just the type of thing I like to do. Help me out with jobs, so I can choose a profession? Thanks!

I'm hopefully starting college in the fall and I plan on working part time. I'm just curious as to what type of office jobs are available for people w/o a degree. I kind of don't want to work in retail and I really don't want to work in fast food. So what could I possibly get? For example, would I be able to work as a receptionist or even a bank teller (yes I know that's not really an "office job")? Would being in college give me an edge?

I'm going into year 12 next year and I want a part time office job such as administration/office assistant but I don't know any people/employers nor the experience usually required. I've worked at McDonald's for roughly a year and I quit late last year. I want to work in a professional office mainly for the experience. Any suggestions?

I've done a few odd and end jobs but basically have been home (SAHM) for 17 years. I have applied for office jobs but now they are all looking for Excel or Word or some other kind of expertise but not the same for all jobs. I feel like I was just thawed from a deep freeze! Any suggestions on how I can become more computer savy to an employer regardless of what programs they work with?

I am in college studying to become a paralegal and I would like to find a basic office job, preferably in a law firm so I can gain professional work environment experience, prior to a paralegal job. Where can I look to find basic or entry level office jobs? Any recommended websites or types of businesses to look?

This may sound like a dumb question, but it's an honest one. So I've worked under the same employer 3 years, as a team leader 2 and a half of those years and I've seen my friends go from working at places like Blockbuster and Kroger to cell repair shops and having office jobs... My question: Do you have any useful tips in finding an office job or something that's not completely service industry based? I don't know where to start.

It seems in this age that is not possible, which jobs have the least out of the office work? I would like to spend my life with my family.

I am looking for any possible office jobs that have no dress codes. For example, I am a man that has long hair and I wish to keep it long. I need this to be a temp job. Is there a place I can go to get this job in the Orlando area. Thank You. It's shoulder length long. Plenty of people have told me that having long hair in the office is okay if your a men. You just need to have it in a ponytail is this correct?

I've only been asked to send a photograph with a kids entertainer job, and that was because it was to show how fun you are. This office junior/receptionist job sounds perfect, except it askes for a photograph along with CV and covering letter. Is this normal? All the office jobs I've applied to before has never asked.
